30 weeks with #5

Week of July 4, 2017

How Far Along? 30 weeks

Due Date:  September 12

Total weight gain/loss: I haven't weighed myself in about a week and half, so I'm hoping still 11

Maternity Clothes? yup and I love them.

Stretch Marks?  No new ones.

Sleep?  it's been a little better, I wake up at least 3x a night to pee though, and usually Landon comes in at some point.

Best Moment of this Week?  I loved the weekend. We were able to go out boating, see fireworks twice. Only bad part was both boys ended up with fevers so we were battling that. Luckily during the day we were able to keep them down with Ibuprofen. But during the night they would wake up when they would come back and it was hard for them to fall back asleep.

Movement? been moving a lot this week. Still feel a lot of movement in my hips and lower abdomen with the occasional kicks in my ribs. PLEASE MOVE HEAD DOWN KIDDO!!

Food cravings? Caesar salad

Food aversions? nope

Gender? I'm still thinking girl, but more and more I think boy. I even made some comparison photos to see if I'm carrying any differently. My MIL and I think I'm carrying higher...idk though

This was at 24 weeks. I never got another belly pic with the girls
past 24 weeks. I really wish I would have. It's amazing how there
were 2 in there and I'm not much bigger. Laynie really was tiny
This is 28 weeks with my single pregnancies. Maybe a little higher?

I really feel like my belly has gotten more
round this week!!
Labor Signs?  Contractions still happening daily,  and I had a few bouts of every 20 min having contractions so I had to put my feet up and try and relax. Luckily it was when Adam was home and I was able to do so, so he could watch the kids.

Belly Button In or Out? Still in but I did have a dream that it popped out...

What I miss? not having to pee all the time.

What I am looking forward to: My OB appointment on Friday and just getting to another week. Nothing really else going on this week...well I guess I'm looking forward to Thursday too, we are having a play date with one of Lorelai's NICU nurses that we haven't seen in what feels like forever because she moved to Columbus IN!!! All of Lorelai's primary nurses were fabulous and I love getting to see them still, so it's always special when we plan play dates.

Size of the Baby:

-->

Baby's now the size of a squash!
As baby's skin smoothes out, her brain just keeps getting more wrinkled. All those grooves and indentations increase surface area, meaning more room for that oh-so-essential brain tissue. She's also adding some brawn -- her grip is now strong enough to grasp a finger.

29 week with #5

Week of June 27th

How Far Along? 29 weeks

Due Date:  September 12

Total weight gain/loss: only 11

Maternity Clothes? oh of course....I really wish I had a second good pair of shorts...I have 2 additional ones from Lincoln but I'm also much larger this time so they are a LITTLE tight **sigh** but I still wear them when I wash my others (2-3x a week) but they just aren't my favorite.

Stretch Marks? yup, who cares...

Sleep?  I'm feeling more rested most days...I don't sleep a lot but I sure don't feel like dying anymore. I'm grateful I was first pregnant in the winter, to be that tired in the summer would really suck.

Best Moment of this Week?  going out on the boat!!! My most favorite place in the world is being on a lake. So being on the lake with my family was awesome. We also asked my cousin Laura if she would be the God mother to this babe and she graciously said yes!!! So excited for her to be this kiddos Godmama.

Movement? yup...I had the FM doctor scan me one night at work and she said baby was "transversish" with the head at my left hip and the feet at my right ribs, which means we are slowly moving to cephalic presentation...which means I can VBAC, So I'm hopeful this kid will continue to move. But I'm not real sure how this kiddo lays because I feel a lot of movement in my hips and lower abdomen.

Food cravings? nothing really

Food aversions? nope, nausea is very rare these days!!

Gender? I'm still think girl, but more and more I think boy

Labor Signs?  Still having daily contractions but some days are worse than others.

Belly Button In or Out? Always in

What I miss? being able to walk fast or do things efficiently. I feel like it takes me forever to do things, and I don't know how much of that is having 3 small kids at home, or the physical limitations of pregnancy. My pelvis hurts a lot. oh and sweet. I'm officially GD this time again...uggg. I missed my 1hr and 2hr by quite a bit. You're allowed to fail one, and I of course failed 2...ugh!

Fasting: 86     I needed to be under 120    pass!
1 Hr: 194        I needed to be under 180    FAIL!
2 hr: 179        I needed to be under 155    FAIL!
3 hr: 126          I needed to be under 140    PASS

What I am looking forward to: More boating and celebrating 4th of July. Adam took the Monday off before the 4th and I'm excited to have some extra time with him.

Size of the Baby:

Baby's now the size of a squash!
Baby's energy is surging, thanks to white fat depositing beneath his skin. And since he's growing so fast (weight will triple by birth), things are getting kind of cramped in the womb. What all this means for you: Get ready for some more kicks and jabs to the ribs.

Week of June 20, 2017

How Far Along? 28 weeks, YAY 3rd Trimester!!!! SO GOOD TO SEE YOU AGAIN FRIEND!!

Due Date:  September 12

Total weight gain/loss: still 11

Maternity Clothes? yup and I love them, having to get out more and more of my tank tops with this heat!!!

Stretch Marks? no new ones.

Sleep?  Still about the same. I'm much more relaxed now that I'm in my 3rd trimester so sleeping a little more soundly...but still getting woken up by that sweet child Landon!

Best Moment of this Week?  getting to TODAY!!! To be in my 3rd trimester is a huge relief!!! I prayed and prayed this would happen and even though everyone I'm sure thought I was crazy, you never realize how having an early baby can affect you. I know that we delivered early because we tried to save the girls, and this is just a single pregnancy it really doesn't matter, it still has a strong affect on me. So getting here has been a huge relief....also today is my dad's 60th birthday and I love making him feel special!!! He does so much for us and I hope he knows how much we love him and how much we appreciate him and love getting to celebrate him!!

I also very subtly announced that we were pregnant via social media on Sunday...Its fun to have it out there and not have to feel like I need to hid behind the boys in pictures if I want to post them.

Movement? Still moving and grooving...it's still such a shock to me how much I feel this kiddo compared to my others...

Food cravings? Nope...taking my 3 hr glucose test this weekend...ugh! (I refuse to do the 1hr bc I don't pass it)
Food aversions? nope

Gender? I'm still thinking girl.

Labor Signs?  Contractions still happening daily, some days I contract like every 20 min or so, but others I only have a few...when they happen more frequently I just lay down and put my feet up, and try to take it as easy as I can with 3 kids at home...lol

Belly Button In or Out? Still in and is always in.

What I miss? Not having to pee every 5 min at night. It's not as bad as Landon but I always pee before bed, then lay there for about 30 min an pee again and then I end up having to go again!!!

What I am looking forward to: seeing my sister this weekend, she's coming in to celebrate my dad this weekend!!

Size of the Baby:

Baby's now the size of an eggplant!
Baby's lungs are mature enough that, if born right now, she has a pretty good chance of surviving (with help from medical technology). Her skin is still pretty wrinkly (one byproduct of living in amniotic fluid) but will smoothen as fat continues to deposit.

27 weeks with #5

Week of June 12th

How Far Along? 27 weeks!!!! stay in little one!! NO MORE PREEMIES FOR THIS FAMILY PLEASE!!!

I waited until this day to take the picture!
Due Date:  September 12

Total weight gain/loss: Still 11

Maternity Clothes? yup and I love them...my nursing tanks are still one of my favorite items of clothing!!!

Stretch Marks? Ehhh I don't even notice my old ones...no new ones to note...

Sleep?  Still pretty much the same...every few days Adam stays with the boys so I can get a more restful night sleep. Though I miss having my hubby in bed with me...he is awfully sweet to let me have some good sleep.

Best Moment of this Week?  I’ve been trying to do something with the kids every day this summer, Even if that’s just going to my parents. So we went to the Strawberry patch, which was a huge disappointment…will have to make note to go earlier next year. But we also did touch a truck where the kids got to sit in and honk the horns on several big trucks, we also went to the pool and splash pads!! This week Lincoln is in VBS at OLMC so that will be fun for him (and the littles too since I’m volunteering!)

Movement? Oh yes. And it’s the most reassuring thing ever.

Food cravings? nope...not really just trying to enjoy my sweets while I can since I have to get tested for GD soon and I will inevitably be one again.

Food aversions? nope

Gender? I'm still thinking girl

Labor Signs?  Contractions still happening daily, some days are worse than others.
this picture could not be more perfect. She
spontaneously came up and did this as Adam
took the picture...such a MIRACLE!
I also take it as a sign that Laynie was saying
"Hi mom, I'm doing ok too"

Belly Button In or Out? Still in and always in

What I miss? Nothing. Enjoying being pregnant since we are both pretty sure this is my last one.

What I am looking forward to: VBS this week. I love volunteering and helping these kids get excited about God. Such a beautiful thing to witness and be a part of!
Also I just have to get through Sunday which is father's day...I'll be 27.5 that day and I can't wait to get past this milestone...its a huge one for us!!

Size of the Baby:

Baby's now the size of an eggplant!
Baby's lungs are going through some major developments these days, which (combined with the opening of previously plugged nostrils) means he's now able to practice inhaling and exhaling. The lack of air in your womb means every "breath" is filled with amniotic fluid, but hey -- it's progress.

26 weeks with #5

Week of June 6, 2017

How Far Along? 26 weeks!!!!

took this pic a little late,
Adam and I were going out for our anniversary
So since I'm in a dress...no belly pic
Due Date:  September 12

Total weight gain/loss: still 11... I'm officially the largest I've ever been...ugh!!!

Maternity Clothes? yup and i love them. And I love that I am looking more and more pregnant and not just fat.

Stretch Marks? No new ones, and they don't seem too prominent yet.

Sleep?  It's still about the same. Adam and I split the boys up over the memorial weekend so that I could get some sleep and the best sleep I've gotten in months was when Lincoln slept with me. That kid sleeps like a rock and is wonderful!!!

Best Moment of this Week? still kind of on a high from getting spend time with family and friends over memorial weekend. Randy and Sharon were here and it's always so fun getting spend time with them! Still kind of bitter sweet too because we used to do it with Doug and his family too. It's so hard to accept sometimes that he is gone, he's definitely one of the people  that I miss on a daily basis.

Also we did the march of dimes walk...I love this organization and all they do for preemie research and prevention!!!

Movement? Yes, it's the oddest feeling having the baby kick me in the back. I feel this baby literally kick my bladder and my colon making me have to stop what I'm doing or I'll have to run to the bathroom to pee. Such a weird feeling. I guess #5 has to be different.

Food cravings? nope...not really

Food aversions? nope

Gender? I'm still still thinking girl. I swear if this babe pops out a boy Adam and I will Both be so surprised.

Labor Signs?  Contractions still happening daily. but at less frequent intervals.

Belly Button In or Out? Still in. I think I have the deepest belly button ever.

What I miss? IBUPROFEN!!! I think I have an addiction...I need a drip...no seriously Ibuprofen is just the only thing that works for me...so my headaches and muscle aches just take it out of me since they don't go away and I won't take tylenol since it just doesn't work and no sense putting something into my body that doesn't do anything.

What I am looking forward to: Our anniversary this week!!! Can't believe it's been 9 Years!! Also this next week as we get closer to when I delivered our girls is going to be quite emotional....

Size of the Baby:

Baby's now the size of an eggplant!
Baby's soaking up your antibodies, getting her immune system ready for life outside the womb. Eyes are forming, and she'll soon be practicing the blink...perfect for batting those freshly grown lashes

25 weeks with #5

Week of May 30

How Far Along? 25 weeks!!!!

Due Date:  September 12
Adam had already fallen asleep so I had to
take the picture myself.

Total weight gain/loss: I think about 11

Maternity Clothes? Always. I still wear the occasional Tshirt but mostly maternity clothes.

Stretch Marks? no new ones.

Sleep?  It's been a little better. But I still wake up several times a night, mostly to a child coming in to sleep in our room, or being hit in the face by said child.

Best Moment of this Week?  having our repeat anatomy scan and we got the all clear!!! babe was in a much better position and the tech did and AMAZING job explaining everything she was looking at. She did a very thorough job of explaining everything she was looking at especially the heart and the baby's heart looked perfect. Also the she was able to get a very clear picture of where the spine ends and it closes, so no spina bifida!! Adam and I feel so much better now!! It was a HUGE relief. Even though Dr. Bivins had said he wasn't concerned about the last scan given what we went through its hard to believe that, or that they are telling you the truth. So we are feeling much more relaxed about everything.
so beautiful already!! (looks like the girls to me)

Look at that beautiful face, No cleft lip either!!

Movement? Oh yes, moving and grooving

Food cravings? nope...not really, though I'm stocking up on my candy for sure (before they tell me I can't have it anymore)

Food aversions? nope, I got sick one night but other than that the nausea is much much better. it's only very occasional now.
Gender? I'm still keeping you guessing, and even though my symptoms are more like Landon I still think it's a girl. I wonder if my prediction has to do with my 9 week ultrasound? I wonder if an anterior placenta plays a factor in it. I also wonder if Adam and I just so badly want Lorelai to have a sister that we both think it's a girl.

Labor Signs?  Contractions still happening daily. some days are better than others, but I have several a day.

Belly Button In or Out? Always in.

What I miss? not a whole lot.

What I am looking forward to: today is memorial day so just some time with the kids outside and celebrating our anniversary.

Size of the Baby:

Baby's now the size of an eggplant!
That oh-so-handy sense of equilibrium is kicking in, and baby's learning to distinguish right side up from upside down.

24 weeks with #5

Week of May 23, 2017

How Far Along?
 24 weeks

Due Date:  September 12

Total weight gain/loss: I haven't weighed myself in a while.

Maternity Clothes?
Oh of course, and I like getting to use all my old clothes from the boys.

Stretch Marks? No new ones yet...

Sleep?  It's been a little better this week. I'm thankful Adam finally got on those allergy meds!!! but those kids need to sleep on their own! Lando comes in EVERY NIGHT!!!

Best Moment of this Week?  getting to spend some quality time with my babies. Adam and I also went to a wedding of one of his co-workers daughters and it was so nice to have that time together, Adam and I definitely don't prioritize time together, we'd rather spend time as a family, so it was nice to have an excuse to spend an evening together, and the venue for the wedding was absolutely GORGEOUS!

Movement? YES!!!! I feel this babe more than I've felt any of the others. I don't know if it's because
of my anterior placenta or what, but I'm enjoying it none the less. But its very clear that I feel the babe in back of my uterus not the front.

Food cravings? nope...but I do love my candy.

Food aversions? no but the nausea is definitely less and less but I still have it very rarely.

Gender? I'm still thinking a girl.

Labor Signs?  Contractions have been a little better this week.

Belly Button In or Out? always in

What I miss? not a whole lot. other than sleep I feel very blessed getting to be pregnant again.

What I am looking forward to: My repeat anatomy scan this coming week.

Size of the Baby:

Baby's now the size of a papaya!

Baby's skin is becoming more opaque as the fat starts to pack on. And, thanks to the formation of small capillaries, her newly thick skin is taking on a fresh pink glow.
