Week of September 5, 2017

How Far Along? 39 weeks

Due Date:  September 12, 2017

Total weight gain/loss: I still think about 18-22 Gotta kept this under control, Im gaining a pound a week! I hope I don’t make it to 40 weeks

Maternity Clothes? Of course and I love them.

Stretch Marks? Well of course but they are lighter this time and no new ones.

Sleep?  Yeah No. I’m grateful Adam has been sleeping with the boys so that I can get a few extra sleeps. There has actually been a night or two where I felt rested. I think part of my problem is I’m having a hard time recovering from working. I feel bad bc my poor kids have been such troopers with me wanting to sleep and them wanting to go outside. God love those sweet boys!!

Best Moment of this Week?  Going to the Purdue v. Louisville football game. Purdue football has always been a huge part of my life, but due to small children and working weekends I haven’t been to many in the last few years. My cousins have too had a lot going on in their lives the last few years so we picked a game and pretty much the whole fam got together. I had a really great time with my cousins, aunts, and uncles and of course the glue of the whole family my grandma. I actually got to sit with her during the game and Had a really great time with her. I just adore her and really cherish our time together.

Movement? Yes, I’m loving every second of it.

Food cravings? none

Food aversions? Nope, just my normal nausea. But I did have a few days of feeling ok and less nausea.

Gender? I’m really getting anxious to meet this one. I’m so excited and to see if I’m right or not.

Labor Signs?  Yes, these darn things need to actually do something! COME ON!! But I will miss my little shelf during my contractions.

Belly Button In or Out? All in

What I miss? sleep and a pain free pelvis

What I am looking forward to: MEETING THIS BABY!!!

Size of the Baby:

Baby's now the size of a watermelon!
Baby's brain is still developing rapidly, and his skin has taken on a paler shade thanks to a thicker layer of fat around the blood vessels. (Don't worry; he'll change color again soon after birth.) He's now able to flex his limbs, and his nails might extend past his fingertips..

Size of the Baby:

Baby's now the size of a watermelon!
The last bits of vernix caseosa (the white goo keeping baby's skin moist) and lanugo (downy hair) are slowly shedding into your amniotic fluid. Baby's head is about the same circumference as her abdomen, and her head could be covered in an inch or so of hair..

Week of August 22nd

How Far Along? 37 weeks—we are TERM!

Due Date:  September 12, 2017

Total weight gain/loss: I still think about 16-17 Gotta kept this under control.

Maternity Clothes? Of course and I love them.

Stretch Marks? Well of course but they are lighter this time and no new ones.

Sleep?  Yeah um no! Still trying to keep my eye on the prize and remember this is all coming to an end soon.

Best Moment of this Week? I’d say it was my birthday. It was the total eclipse that day which was really cool.  It was a really nice day spent with the kids, I just wish Adam could have been with us for the day, and I wish the cheesecake factory would have had their red velvet cheesecake.

We also had the NICU reunion which I ALWAYS love. The NICU was and still is such a huge part of our story and I love going and seeing the doctors and nurses who cared for us and our girls. Plus we got to see some of the nurses who are leaving to go travel, so it was nice to see them before they go.

We also celebrated my neice’s birthday. We don’t’ get to see her very often so I always enjoy time spent with them. And my sister in law and I are only 12 days apart so it was nice to see her one last time before my nephew makes his arrival.

Oh and lastly we went to Ohio to see Thomas. We always do The Day out with Thomas. And since we missed him being in connorsville in June, He would have been in French Lick in September and I didn’t want to have to worry about doing that with a newborn so we went to Ohio. It was a great day spent with my little loves and hubby. One of my favorite family traditions.

Movement? Yes, feeling this baby move is the highlight of my day! I just love it and I’m really trying to cherish it since this is most likely our last.

Food cravings? none

Food aversions? Nope, just my normal nausea. But I did have a few days of feeling ok and less nausea.

Gender? With this nausea,  and how crappy I feel all the time, I’m even more convinced this is a girl because I’ve never felt this crappy with any of my pregnancies.

Labor Signs?  Yes, I’ve had a few painful contractions but they still aren’t doing anything. No change from last week.

Belly Button In or Out? All in

What I miss? sleep and a pain free pelvis

What I am looking forward to:   just getting a week more in. and this baby can come anytime...i'm ready for you!!!

Size of the Baby:

Baby's now the size of a watermelon!
Your full-term (yay!) baby is gaining about 1/2 ounce a day and getting his first sticky poop (called meconium) ready. He's also brushing up on skills for the outside world: blinking, sucking, inhaling, exhaling, and gripping (it's getting strong!).

36 weeks with #5

Week of August 15th

How Far Along? 36 weeks

Due Date:  September 12, 2017

Total weight gain/loss: I still think about 15. Gotta kept this under control.

Maternity Clothes? Of course and I love them.

Stretch Marks? Well of course but they are lighter this time and no new ones.

Sleep?  Yeah um no! Still pretty much the same as the last few months. I rarely get more than an hr or so of sleep which stinks but I’m trying to remind myself that we are in the home stretch and I can do anything for a month or less more!

Best Moment of this Week? I’d say it has to be when we got our maternity pictures done. Since I didn’t get to get any done with the girls and due to conflicting schedules these were done a little later than we had originally wanted, so it had me a little worried we wouldn’t fit them in.

Lincoln also started Kindergarten this week and it was so tough. He cried, I cried (big ugly cry) but he loves it! Which just warms my heart, I was so worried he’d hate it and although he is struggling with the drop off he’s doing great with the actual school part. Plus he’s wanted a few extra snuggles with me which helps my heart.

Movement? Yes, feeling this baby move is the highlight of my day! I just love it and I’m really trying to cherish it since this is most likely our last.

Food cravings? none

Food aversions? Nope, just my normal nausea. I even had one of the OB’s at work ask if I was ok, and when I explained to her it was the pregnancy she looked confused and even said “aren’t you almost term” Why yes , yes I am…I’m supposed to be past this point.

Gender? With this nausea,  and how crappy I feel all the time, I’m even more conviced this is a girl because I’ve never felt this crappy with any of my pregnancies.

Labor Signs?  Yes, I’ve had a few painful contractions and even timed them a few times but nothing seems to be coming of them. Dr. G. checked me and although the baby’s head is super low I’m only 1 cm.

Belly Button In or Out? All in

What I miss? sleep and a pain free pelvis

What I am looking forward to:  My Birthday is this week and although I don’t like making a huge deal out of it, it’s always nice to feel loved by my family.

Size of the Baby:

Baby's now the size of a honeydew!
Baby's skin is getting smooth and soft, her gums are rigid, her liver and kidneys are in working order, and her circulation and immune system are basically good to go. Her lungs are the only organs that still need to fully mature, but every day she gets a little closer to breathing on her own.
