21 weeks with #2!

Week of May 26, 2013
Happy Memorial Day 21 Weeks!

How Far Along? 21 weeks...seriously it's flying by?!

Due Date: October 6, 2013

Total weight gain/loss: I'm thinking at least 9...because my belly has POPPED OUT!

Maternity clothes? yes and I love them, leggings and tunics are my favorite thing on the planet! I wish they made regular clothes this comfortable and stylish!

Stretch Marks? I'm forever going to be scared! Though they look lighter to me. :)

Sleep: pretty rough this week. I just feel so tired all the time!!

Best moment this week: FINALLY getting Lincoln's 18 month pictures done yesterday. Due to the extremely rainy weather this last few months we have rescheduled them 3 times. I'm so happy the weather held out and we were able to get them done!

Movement: yes, and I love it...I'm starting to think we may be able to feel it on the outside!!

Food cravings: Ice cream!!! handles has this chocolate covered strawberry hurricane and it is AMAZING! then after I ordered it this lady ordered blueberry cobbler and I'm dying to go back and get some!
Popped out!
Food aversions: none

Gender: I'm still thinking boy..

Labor Signs: none yet, but every morning or after I wake up I get some contractions :)

Belly Button in or out? never went out with little man...so still in!

What I miss: I feel sort of blah this week, and I'm not sure why. There have been a lot of changes at work which make me nervous for my future but I'm not real sure what my deal is.

What I am looking forward to: Getting a real start of Lincoln's new room. We got his crib yesterday from my mom's boss for free!! So this week I'm going to start on painting the trim and finishing up the hallways trim that I started back in september! eek!! procrastinator!!

Size of the Baby:

Baby's now the size of a banana!
Baby's digestive system is busy creating meconium (a tarry black substance made of swallowed amniotic fluid, digestive secretion, and dead cells), which will fill the first diaper after birth. And, if baby is a girl, her womb is now stocked up with her lifetime supply of six million eggs (the number will drop to around one million by birth).

**Pictures are on my camera and I haven't transferred them yet.

20 Weeks with Baby #2

Week of May 19, 2013

How Far Along?  20 weeks!!! HALF WAY!!!

Due Date: October 6, 2013
Sunday May 19
20 weeks!

Total weight gain/loss: I haven't stepped on the scale in weeks...but at my doc appointment last week I was up 9...

Maternity clothes? yes and I love them...why don't they make all clothes this comfortable!????

Stretch Marks? I'm forever going to be scared! Though they look lighter to me. :)

Sleep: I wake up a lot to change positions and I feel like I never get a full 8-9 hours straight which makes me tired.

Best moment this week: My sister surprising us yesterday by coming home for our cousins grad party! It seriously made my weekend. I really miss her even though we've seen her a lot lately. I miss having her in our weekly lives. It makes me so sad that she is so far away (chicago) and won't get to be as involved with this baby's life as she was with Lincoln. If I seriously sit down and think about it, I get depressed. I'm hopeful that by Baby #3 she will be back here permanently.

Movement: yes, more and more each day!! LOVE IT!

Food cravings: none really this week

Food aversions: none
A real baby bump!

Gender: I'm still thinking boy, though I'm starting to love the idea of a girl. Even to the point where it makes me sad to think if this one is a boy and we will have to wait 2-3 years before I could get my girl

Labor Signs: none yet, just my daily dose of braxton hicks...

Belly Button in or out? never went out with little man...so still in!

What I miss: I feel like I'm getting bigger which is always a struggle for me. So I miss being able to control or have some control of my weight...

What I am looking forward to: Having Adam home AGAIN this week!! And getting to see friends and celebrate Memorial Weekend next weekend!

Size of the Baby:

Baby's now the size of a cantaloupe!
Baby gulps down several ounces of amniotic fluid every day, both for nutrition and to practice swallowing and digesting. And, these days, those taste buds actually work! Studies show that after birth, babies respond best to tastes they've already had via amniotic fluid. Meaning, think about what you'd like your future child to eat as you prepare your own lunch
.

19 weeks with Baby #2

Week of May 12, 2013

How Far Along? 19 weeks...seriously?!

Due Date: October 6, 2013
Happy Mother's Day!
19 weeks :)

Total weight gain/loss: I think I'm between 6-9 depending on the day

Maternity clothes? yes and I love them...why don't they make all clothes this comfortable!????

Stretch Marks? I'm forever going to be scared! Though they look lighter to me. :)

Sleep: pretty good this week, during the day has gotten better. But it's been hard because I have this horrible cough AGAIN!

Best moment this week: Finding out ADAM IS GOING TO BE IN TOWN THIS WEEK!!! he has been out of town since early march, only coming home on the weekends and even then its usually only sundays because he works saturdays too. And I think in a few weeks they will be going to mandatory saturdays...don't get me wrong the money is nice, but I'd rather have him home.

Movement: yes, this has to be my favorite part of pregnancy. I love getting to feel the little pops and kicks all to myself!! My mind is put at ease and I know our baby is growing!!
Getting bigger :)

Food cravings: none really this week

Food aversions: none

Gender: I'm still thinking boy, though a girl would be nice...except for the clothing thing...

Labor Signs: none yet thank goodness, but I have been getting more and more contractions through the day but it's just those pesky braxton hicks things...and i forgot to write on here that those started around week 15...a little earlier than last time

Belly Button in or out? never went out with little man...so still in!

What I miss: I miss nothing really. Just trying to enjoy everything one day at a time.

What I am looking forward to: Seeing family this upcoming weekend for my cousin Jaclyn's graduation from college party!

Size of the Baby:

Baby's now the size of a mango!

Vernix caseosa, a greasy white substance made of lanugo, oil, and dead skin cells (yum) now coats baby's skin, shielding it from the amniotic fluid. (Picture yourself after a nine-month bath, and the need for protection makes sense.) You might get to see the vernix at birth, especially if baby is premature.
