Lynlie is 10 months

OH sweet Lynlie is in double digits! 10 month!!! holy cow! I just can't take how fast this year is going...I wish I could keep her little for a little longer. I remember always feeling this way with each kid, but more so with Lynlie I think because I know more than likely she is going to be our last. I just love the baby stage and a huge part of me is sad to see it go.

So needless to say we have been soaking up as much of this baby stage as we can. I enjoy all the snuggles and extra love she still gives me. She's still not quite as cuddly as she was as a baby baby but she still loves to be held and I'm eating it up.

Here are a few of her milestones this month.

  • She is sleeping a bit better this month.
    • She will sleep for about 12-13 hours only waking once or twice usually between 2-5 am. but then will sleep until 9 or so
    • if she wakes up before 9 she is wanting to take a quick cat nap of 30 min or less in the mornings with a 2-3 hour nap in the afternoon
  • She is still nursing about 6-7 times a day and is growing with the amount of solid food she eats
    • veggie straws continue to be her favorite. She will usually eat most foods until she sees or someone gives her a veggie straw.
    • she will eat just about anything but when she can't chew it she like to keep it on the roof of her mouth--she mainly does this with meats.
  • She's not quite crawling yet, but she is scooting backwards
    • She loves to turn in circles. She will literally sit there and just spin in a circle, it's the funniest thing
    • She will also push up with her arms and then push herself back.
    • she will turn on her stomach and almost reach for things she wants.
  • she has 5 teeth. her two bottom ones and believe it or not her 2 upper canine teeth with one of her upper teeth. So very odd this child.
  • She continues to be a very happy baby. Always smiling at us
    • she has yet to laugh, like really belly laugh, I can sometimes get her to let out a little laugh when I tickle her but for the most part she looks very uncomfortable when she is tickled.
  • She loves when Adam plays the guitar. She will sit in her high chair and just stare at him as he plays...its so cute
  • she REFUSES to say mama. I will say "Lynlie say mama" and no joke she says "dada"
    • first kid to not say mama first!
  • She loves to play peak-a-boo
    • the older kids especially the boys, love to play with her.
  • She still loves the pool, not so much the sun screen but she loves the pool
  • She has started to shake her head no no no
    • The boys think it's the funnies thing and will try to get her to do it all the time. It really is quite cute.
  • She says yay by clapping her hands...so cute
  • She got her ears PIERCED!
    • the older kids were at a VBS for a few hours so I had a few hours just me and her, so I decided to go ahead and get them done. She did pretty good. I wish there would have been two people because the second one was a bit more challenging, but overall she did pretty good with it.
      • I'm not sure I love it. Lorelai had such long hair that it looked so cute, Lynlie has such short hair that it almost makes her look like a boy with pierced ears. I'm hoping it will grow on me...
  • She had her first 4th of July and enjoyed the fireworks quite a bit
  • She still loves to be held, and I unfortunately lost the ring sling I had so I had to buy another one and its still our go-to when we are out and about.
  • She is still in size 3 diapers
  • She is in size 9-12 month clothes

here is our weekly pics.

here are our monthly photos. could she get any cuter?

We did family pics with Adam's family and this was the individual pic we got of her...so adorable.

Lynlie is NINE months old

Ok seriously, not sure where the time goes, and how we are looking at Lynlie's last month in the single digits! What is it about moving from single to double digits that makes them not seem so much of a baby? I've really cherished having another baby. I never knew my heart needed this. Lorelai's birth, and life for those first few years were just hard, and it's been such a different kind of hard with Lynlie, more of a juggling life with 4 hard. But either way Lynlie is just a dream. She is a sweet, beautiful little soul!

Lynlie has had quite the adjustment this month and she's taking it out on her sleep...We moved in with my parents to get our house ready to sell and the girls now share a room. Lynlie (and really all of my kiddos) has never done well sleeping anywhere but in HER room. Well now that she's permanently in a new room she's just struggling with her new surroundings and sharing a room with Lorelai so she has been getting up 2-4 times a night, which mean this mama is not sleeping well! But hopefully that will get better int he months to come. She is definitely my worst sleeper, which is making it hard on me!

But her are some milestones this month.

  • She is getting 2 teeth, both on the bottom.
  • She has finally decided to like table food. She has really taken off with it
    • She loves bananas, avocados, blueberries, green beans, broccoli and veggie straws
      • unfortunately mimi, papa and daddy think that its perfectly fine to just fill her up with junk....you'd think by the 4th kiddo they would know that eating is strictly developmental and that she needs her nutrition from BM and doesn't need the empty calories of veggie straws!
    • She still breastfeeds 6-7 times a day (or more if she wakes up more often)
  • Sleep has been a major issue this month
    • she will sleep for about 12-13 hours, but she will wake up about 2-4 times a night. sometimes still every 3 hours!!! Kid needs to get it together
    • she's also not napping all that well. She will only nap for an hour or so. I'm not real sure what her deal is.
  • She still sucks on her tongue when shes tired and its the cutest thing ever!
  • She is a very happy baby (even for not sleeping) She will smile all the time. She gives these huge smiles that just melt my heart
  • She is finally sitting up on her own!
    • due to this she is also enjoying being on the floor and not held as much, which can be a good thing when i'm trying to get things done.
      • but I have to admit now that she sits up she doesn't cuddle as much which I miss
  • She loves to sing and talk and is often the loudest of the group. All the da da da...ba ba bas your heart can take.
  • She is still mama's girl and often wants nothing but mama, but is definitely warming up to others which my mama heart doesn't love...haha
  • she went to the zoo for the first time and seemed to enjoy it.
  • She continues to be in size 3 diapers
  • She is finally in size 9-12 month clothes, mostly 9 month, but I have some random 12 month outfits that were Lorelai's that she fits in just fine.
  • She still loves her bumbo seat.
  • She loves the pool, but hates getting sunscreen on. But shes all smiles once she gets in the water.
  • Now that shes sitting up she is enjoying the shower more and more, since she can sit up and play in the water.
  • She is of course in the stage where everything goes in her mouth, and Lincoln and his legos might be the death of me.

Her 9 month appointment we did a tad late due to VBS week but here are her stats
  • She is 28 inches
  • She is 65th% for height
  • She is 19 lbs
  • She is 55% for weight
by comparison to the boys, Lincoln was 29.5 inches and 20.5 lbs, Landon was 28.5 inches and 22.2 lbs. So she is a little shorter and thinner. and of course Lorelai was only 15 lbs at 1 year...so there's that. LOL

Here are her 9 month pics.

After her 6 month photos that were not my favorite. We knocked these 9 month pics out of the park. Alicia did an amazing job, I adore these pics of my princess.

This month has been a blessing, as each one before it. We feel so blessed to love and nurture 4 of our kiddos, and one cheering us on from heaven. Lynlie is just perfect and we know that Laynie had a hand in picking her out for us. She has been the perfect addition to this crazy family and we are forever grateful to God for entrusting us with her.
We love you Lynlie!
