15 weeks with #5

Week of March 21, 2017

How Far Along? 15 weeks

Due Date: September 12

Total weight gain/loss: I still think 0

Maternity clothes? well of course

Stretch Marks? no new ones....

Sleep: I think I'm feeling slightly less tired so maybe sleeping better; Adam has been having issues with his congestion so he wakes me up several times during the night.

Best moment this week: We had Lorelai and Laynie's birthday this past weekend and it was such a beautiful day celebrating our girls turing two. We had a balloon release for Laynie which was just a nice way to celebrate our girl.

Movement: I'm just not sure.

Food cravings: still some OJ

Food aversions: getting much much better with the nausea with food!

Gender: I think deep down I still think Girl, but I'm feeling so much like I did with Landon--the exhaustion, the nausea, and the pain in my back. but we shall see in September.

Labor Signs: starting to feel more of my traditional contractions.

Belly Button in or out? always out

What I miss: just feeling rested, but does that happen when your a mom who works nights?

What I am looking forward to: Just getting to another week!

Size of the Baby:

Baby's now the size of a naval orange!
Continuing the march toward normal proportions, baby's legs now out-measure his arms. And, finally, all four limbs have functional joints. Your fetus is squirming and wiggling like crazy down in the womb, though you probably can't feel the movements just yet.

Week of March 14, 2017

**For some reason I don't have pictures from this week...not sure why**

How Far Along? 14 weeks...

Due Date: September 12, 2017

Total weight gain/loss: I still think 0

Maternity clothes? yes  :)

Stretch Marks: no new ones yet

Sleep: I have been sleeping slightly better; though that may just be wishful thinking, I'm still tired all the time.

Best moment this week: I learned at my appointment that I have an anterior placenta after Dr. G had a rough time finding baby's heartbeat; so we got an ultrasound and lets face it, thats always a bright spot when we get to see our little one.

Movement: I always thought I was feeling movement, but after learning that I had an anterior placenta and the fact that that usually means you don't feel early movement, perhaps I'm wrong. So probably not.

Food cravings: Orange juice...which is weird because I can honestly count on one hand the amount of glasses of orange juice Ive had my whole life on one hand, I normally HATE it, but it tastes so good now!!!

Food aversions: um, I'm still pretty nauseated most of the time, but it's getting a little better? I feel like I have a day or so reprieve every few days.

Gender: I still think girl, but my symptoms are more and more like Lando...

Labor Signs: none yet thank goodness

Belly Button in or out? always in

What I miss: Just having a little energy.

What I am looking forward to: Just making it another week.

Size of the Baby:

Baby's now the size of a lemon!
Your adorable little fetus is busy with thumb sucking, toe wiggling, (not so cute but equally amazing) making urine, and breathing amniotic fluid as the liver, kidneys, and spleen continue to develop. Lanugo (thin, downy hair) is growing all over her body for warmth.

How Far Along? 13 weeks

Due Date: September 12th

Total weight gain/loss: none yet

Maternity clothes? well of course

Stretch Marks?  not new ones yet

Sleep: it's been a little better; but the kids seem to be sleeping better at night

Best moment this week: Well we accidentally told my parents this weekend, and my dad said he's known for months. It was nice to tell my mom on her birthday so that her birthday didn't have to be tainted anymore. We also had another OB appointment and found out that I have an anterior placenta because Dr. G couldn't get a HR so we got an ultrasound. So we got to see the babe!

Movement: So Maybe what i've felt is just gas because with an anterior placenta you generally don't feel early movement

Food cravings: chips and queso

Food aversions: seems to happen with potato chips and other not so healthy foods

Gender: i still think girl

Labor Signs:nope

Belly Button in or out? in

What I miss: feeling less anxious. I'm just so worried. I know it comes with a territory but I'm just anxious.

What I am looking forward to: another week.

Size of the Baby:

Baby's now the size of a peach!
Your fetus is forming teeth and vocal cords...savor this, their nonfunctional phase. Baby is approaching normal proportions, with his head now only one third the size of his body. And intestines are in the process of moving from the umbilical cord to baby's tummy -- much more convenient.

How Far Along? 12 weeks

Due Date:  September 12.

Total weight gain/loss: still none

Maternity clothes? Oh you betcha

Stretch Marks? no new ones

Sleep: It's been a little better this week, but the boys are starting to sleep in their beds so I think that's helping.

Best moment this week: Almost in my 2nd Trimester!!!

Movement: still thinking I feel a kick here or there. I'm probably crazy.

Food cravings: chips and salsa or chips and queso.

Food aversions: My nausea has been better; but it's still there quite a bit.

Gender: I still think girl; but I'm wondering if I feel that way strictly from the first ultrasound.

Labor Signs: none.

Belly Button in or out? always out.

What I miss: just feeling rested.

What I am looking forward to: My OB appointment next week.

Size of the Baby:

Baby's now the size of a plum!As you move into the second trimester, baby shifts into the growth and maturation stage. After weeks in the critical development stage, almost all of her systems are fully formed

How Far Along? 11 weeks

Due Date: September 12

Total weight gain/loss: none! YAY

Maternity clothes? well of course

Stretch Marks? no new ones

Sleep:  not really. I toss and turn a lot, I have been having numbess in my arms while I sleep that wakes me up and I have had a lot of mucous in my nose. but its all good, I can sleep when all these kids are teenagers.

Best moment this week: truly just getting one week further. I feel so much more anxious and protective of this baby than any of my previous pregnancies. I think I just don't want to hurt again so I'm scare to tell anyone, but I'm also so grateful for each additional week.

Movement: sometimes I swear I feel little kicks.

Food cravings: none

Food aversions: no real food aversions; but I still am nauseated most of the time, before and mostly after eating

Gender:  I still think girl

Labor Signs: no

Belly Button in or out? always in

What I miss: I can't say that I'm missing anything per-say, I just would love a good night sleep and to feel rested.

What I am looking forward to: Another week.

Size of the Baby:

Baby's now the size of a lime!Your fetus currently enjoys a 1:1 ratio between body and head, and has skin so transparent that blood vessels show right through it. But fingers and toes are no longer webbed, and hair follicles, tooth buds, and nail beds are forming -- setting up a significantly more attractive future.

Week of February 14, 2017

How Far Along? 10 weeks!

Due Date: September 12

Total weight gain/loss: still the same

Maternity clothes? yup, went and bought some new jeans since my fat thighs always rub holes in my jeans. Oh the joys of being overweight.

Stretch Marks? no new ones

Sleep: still horrendous. I'm tired, but why can I not sleep!!! I literally lay in bed unable to fall asleep but unable to keep my eyes open.

Best moment this week: making it another week.

Movement: still a few jabs here and there, but again probably gas.

Food cravings: carbs. simple things that won't hurt my stomach. I also crave Popsicles in the wee hours of the morning when working. Every morning I wake up between 5-6 feeling like i'm going to puke and its even worse when I'm working so Popsicles are helping me to keep it together at work

Food aversions: everything
I tried to take this picture myself using my tripod.
It didn't work well.

Gender: i still feel girl. while I'm about as nauseated as I was with the boys, its slightly different.

Labor Signs:no

Belly Button in or out?no

What I miss: not feeling like a bad wife and mother because the couch with some ginger ale is my best friend.

What I am looking forward to: feeling movement and hearing that beautiful heartbeat.

Size of the Baby:

Baby's now the size of a prune!
With bones and cartilage starting to form and vital organs beginning to function, baby is making major progress. Body length will almost double in the next three weeks, and arm joints are now working. (Soon, legs will start working too.)
