Lynlie is SIX months

A whole half of a year? What how? why? Where does the time go? It's so hard to believe that my baby is half a year. Time just seems to be flying by!!! It's been one heck of a half of a year too!

She is growing more and more and those thighs keep getting thicker and thicker...and lets just face it, there is nothing better. She is getting more and more of a personality and I am loving getting to see her blossom into this beautiful and content little babe. She is such a blessing and we are so grateful that we get to love her.

Her six month milestones are;
  • She rolls from back to front. She hasn't quite mastered the front to back roll just yet.
  • She is starting to sit in her bumbo more. She will sit there for a few minutes at a time.
  • She still sleeps really well, sleeping about 12-14 hours at night, waking once at 6ish ( I usually wake her) for a feeding.
    • she still takes 2-3 naps a day
      • a quick 30 min nap in the AM while we go pick up Lincoln
      • A 2-3 hour afternoon nap
      • another 30 min nap in the late evening.
  • She is still swaddled while she sleeps. I still think this is why she is sleeps so well. I really need to get her un-swaddled for sleep though, we have tried a few times since she rolls to her tummy and keeps her head buried in the bed.
  • She is doing slightly better with tummy time
    • she still isn't a huge fan, and lets face it doesn't get put down very much. But she will tolerate it for a few minutes and she hold her head up
  • She is liking her jumperoo a little more too. While she seems to like the one at my parents house more than she likes the one at our house...there is slightly more to grab at on theirs
    • She will typically only sit in it for 10 min or so before getting irritated and want to be held. --she's no Lando and his jumper!
  • She still takes the occasional paci. But only if she super tired and/or if shes in her carseat and needs to suck to fall asleep
  • She will suck on her tongue still when she is tired and wants to fall asleep and isn't able to nurse.
    • usually this is how I tell she is sleepy
      • she will rest her head on my shoulder and suck her tongue...cutest thing ever.
  • She still loves to give me kisses and will suck on my lip when shes really tired or hungry...she will even find my face to suck on my lip at times...so cute!
  • She had her first visit to Chicago and did quite well! She slept well in the pac n play and was just the ever cutest and pleasant little traveler.
  • She is still Exclusively breastfed and isn't really showing any interest in our food at this time, so we will just wait until she shows a bit more interest.
  • She loves her little fingers still and will find every opportunity to put those little fingers in her mouth
    • she doesn't suck on them, just either holds them in her mouth or chews on them
  • She has found her feet and will take her socks off at every opportunity
  • She is pretty talkative still and sings and babbles, but doesn't say any words just yet.
  • She still notices me above everyone else, and will be fine sitting with other people until she hears or sees me...girl loves her mama
  • She is playing with toys more and more; I have to admit I've been pretty bad at having toys out for her to play with. I really need to get the infant toys back out!
    • but she will bat at and play with the toys that are on her carseat
  • She still isn't sitting up just yet, or standing but that's probably more related to the fact that she is rarely put down...gotta get better about it.
  • She is still in some 3 month clothes, though I started to get out the 6 month clothes...
I'm sure there are things I'm forgetting, but especially since I'm writing this now that she's 10 months old. Sorry Lynnie I'm trying, life is just so busy and my computer is wanting to take a crap. But thank goodness for iPhones and the ability to document things!

here are her weekly pictures.

Here are her six month stats

  • She's 14 lbs 13 oz
  • She's 25% for weight
  • She's 26 inches
  • She's 50% for length
She's about 3-4 pounds lighter than the boys and about 1.5 inches shorter than the boys. She's still a little thing...not quite like Lola but she's still little...and I want to keep her that way.

Our six month photo shoot...she chose this moment to give me a new face I've never seen before...the raised eyebrow smile is too much!

Almost like she is trying to look at me through her eyebrows...too cute

Here are our six month photos with Alicia...well they are more like 7.5 month photos...we had to reschedule because of weather and vacations and injuries...The day we got them was super windy and still not the best weather but we got them done!

Oh Lynlie....how I love you! You're a dream and we are so very lucky you're ours!!! Love you my little love love.

Lynlie is FIVE months old

Wow, just wow, how have 5 months gone by? How is it that in one more month it will be half a year since we brought our beautiful rainbow baby into this world? Each month, no in fact each day with her just gets sweeter and sweeter. Lynlie is the perfect addition to our family and she brings so much joy to our lives. I just can hardly believe that she's been here 5 months already

I am really trying to enjoy this baby stage as much as possible, but no matter what I do it just seems to be going by so fast. I am trying my hardest to relish each day and each moment and milestone with her because I know that more than likely she is my last baby, which is getting harder and harder to accept.

Lynlie is just growing into such a happy and beautiful little girl and I feel so privileged to just witness it and take part in her growth. God has blessed us so abundantly and we are so grateful.

Here are few highlights from Lynlie's 5th Month of life.
  • She continues to be a smilely little goober, giving me smiles all the time. She will smile at pretty much everyone and I love that big gummy, toothless smile
  • I continue to be her favorite person (I'm not complaining one bit) She above all my kids loves me the most, and won't tolerate being held by anyone else
    • I have friends who even get "upset" when I talk in the same room as them because once she hears my voice its all over. HAHA
  • She started rolling over! Yay...well kinda.
    • She now rolls to sleep on her stomach which would be fine...but she keeps her nose planted in the bed! So she sleeps face down! GIRL TURN YOUR HEAD!
  • Shes getting better about tummy time/play time and just being put down. And by better I mean that I can usually get her to do it for a few minutes at a time.
    • Lets be honest if she starts to cry I just hold her. I have really loved snuggling her!
  • She still somewhat takes a pacifier. Not all the time, and usually its only in the car, but she will take it for other people
  • Shes still a pretty good sleeper, she will sleep for 10-14 hours at night
    • I still wake her around 6:30 for a feeding since I'm up with Lincoln, and I have a hope that I'll get to go back to bed for a bit if I feed her while I'm up :)
    • She still takes 2-3 naps a day. Usually in the car in the morning for about 20-45 min either going or picking Linc up, and the again in the afternoon for 2-3 hours and then sometime a 20-45 min nap around 6 pm.
    • we are still swaddling at night, and naptime...maybe someday...
  • She will sometimes reach for things
  • She chews on her fingers a lot still. She doesn't suck, just chews on them. Weird!
  • She is still exclusively breastfed and shows no signs of wanting food
    • She will eat every 3-4 hours or sometimes more frequent during the day.
    • She is getting faster at eating since getting rid of the nipple shield so thats a bonus

Lynlie is just a dream and we love her so very much! She as been such a blessing and we Enjoy every second with her.

here are our weekly photos

And our monthly photos

Always with those fingers....

Lynlie you're a dream, you're smile is contagious and I just love you more with each passing breath. You are the absolute perfect addition to our family.

Lorelai is 3!!!!!

Oh my oh my....how are our beautiful twins THREE!!! Most of the time it really catches me off guard when I think about how it has been three years since they were born. Every day since has definitely been an adventure, and we are so grateful to be here at three...though I will say a large part of me misses my itty bitty baby, that was the sad but beautiful thing about Lorelai, she was like an eternal newborn...

Now I wouldn't say Lorelai is big by any means, but she is slowly getting bigger, we are actually in 2T/3T clothes. While most of her 2T stuff still fits, I am buying some 3T things for the spring!!!

This year, I really wanted to go to the beach again but mom and Stacie could either not commit to a beach vaycay or I honestly don't know what the deal was, but since it was such a big milestone birthday for them (60 & 30) I decided to tough it out and go to freezing cold Chicago again. I really don't mind Chicago but Chicago in March is brutal! With my Birthday in August and the boys in October and Lynlie is Septemeber we all have warm birthdays so part of me feels bad for Lola that she has this uber cold birthday in March, thanks to Indiana weather...but OH well we make due with what we have.

It really was a nice trip, mom rented an airbnb and it was a really nice 2 bedroom condo on the 47th floor of some building. it had a wrap around balcony that made my stomach turn, but the views were beautiful. We went to the zoo, had dinner and celebrated our girls (mom and stace included). It was a nice time with family away from the hum drum of daily life. We had a balloon release on the 4th for Laynie and that's always a special moment for me, though she is gone she is definitely not forgotten.

Here is my beautiful 3 year old...man it's hard to get a good picture.

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

DIVA!

Laynie we love you!

Happy 60th Birthday Mimi

Happy 30th Birthday TT!!

Big girl wears big girl gown at the MDs office!
Here are a few things about Lorelai at age 3.
  • If it's possible this girl is more fun than ever before!
    • She is sweet, getting more and more kind and just so much fun to be around
  • She is CONSTANTLY talking--to the point where we ask her if she ever stops talking and she responds...ummm no
  • She FINALLY got all of her teeth this year. I think her bottom incisor teeth came in around october, so she has a full set of teeth finally
  • She eats a lot (for her)!
    • she will try almost anything,
    • she does not like fruit. I have yet to find a fruit she will eat
    • she still gets a bottle at nap time and bedtime
    • she loves green beans and chicken. those are her favorites
      • of course she loves chicken nuggets, hot dogs, macamone cheese (mac n cheese), and french fries...but I try to get her to eat good things too
    • She still prefers a bottle but will drink water from a sippy and will sometimes take her milk in a sippy too.
  • Her reflex is getting better too!!
    • we rarely have an instance of vomiting so long as we give her her meds! YES!
  • She is almost fully potty trained...
    • she stays dry for hours at a time, but doesn't tell us she has to potty. But will go on the potty when we take her.
  • She is still our rockstar sleeper
    • She goes down between 8-9 and will sleep until 9-10 the next day
      • she takes 1 2-4 hour nap a day too!
  • She is enjoying more puzzle type toys, her dolls, doll house and still loves those books
    • very hungry caterpillar and the very busy spider book are her favorites
  • Girl is OBSESSED with cell phones, tablets and the like! Its a bit ridiculous! Any time she sees my dad or my mom she immediately asks for their HiPads or phone...its BAD!
    • I don't give her either hardly ever, unless I'm trying to get dinner done and I need a break! but we really need to real it in!
  • As mean as she was at 2, she is that sweet at 3. She is so precious. So sweet, kinda and just a joy to be around.
  • She love to do anything and everything her brothers do, including playing toys and house with them. Lincoln is really good at including her in playing
    • Landon and Lorelai fight a lot! I think it has to do with them being so close in age, but darn they are always arguing!
  • She still HATE to have her hair brushed...still screams bloody murder...in fact every time we walk into my bathroom she starts cry...no brush my hair..its sad. I've started using the monat kids brand on her hair and i see improvements so I hope it continues to get better
    • I put her hair up most of the time. It's just easier than dealing with food and stuff getting in it
  • Shes currently in size 2T, but is slowing fitting into size 3T!!

We had a small party for her at a bounce house in noblesville and we decided to go a little overboard and we bought a bounce house for our house for her...she loves it!

She is definitely wild and three and we love her so much!

I had combined Lynlie's 6 month pictures with Loreali's 3 year pictures...well after rescheduling 6 times for weather and other things, we finally got them done, but it was so windy outside, so I'm not a huge fan of them, but oh well....

Lorelai and Laynie we love you so very much! I can't believe you are THREE!!! I remember the day you were born like it was yesterday. Your dad and I are so grateful to you both for showing us what patience, understanding and love truly means. You're our miracles and we love you so much! HAPPY 3rd birthday!
