Levi is NINE months old

 Our last month in the single digits. WHAT THE HECK!!! Where is time going??? It can't possibly be that my baby...my very last baby...is in his last month of single digits. I don't know why this seems like such a milestone to me but it does. I remember with Lynlie absolutely dreading the 10 month. I don't know why...I think it has to do with the fact that they are never a single digit month ever ever ever again in their life. It just feels so finite and old. 

This kid is just growing way faster than I'd like. I'd say he is growing like a weed but that's honestly simply not true. He is still a pip squeak. He is TINY, well TINY for a Chafin Term baby. I alway thought Lola was tiny because of her prematurity but he seems to be following suit with her, (obviously not as small). I will be so sad if he is so much smaller than his older brothers. I know its stupid and very much probably a gender stereotype but men should just be bigger, taller and all that than women so I hope for his sake he is at least 6 feet someday. 

As always this month was just a pure joy of having our sweet boy. He truly just makes every day better. Getting to watch him interact with his siblings and learn new things is just such a blessing. 

Here are a few of our monthly milestones:

• He is so close to crawling!
• He army crawls everywhere 
• He is starting to get up on all 4s and rock back and forth, It feels like he will be crawling so very soon
• He popped his first 2 teeth on the bottom the day before he turned 9 months
• I always get so sad when they get teeth, I just love the gummy smiles
• He started this really cute thing with his tongue. he keeps sticking it out and rolling it over those new teeth and its so cute. 
• He is a champ sleeper still, sleeping about 12-14 hours at night
• He wakes up between 6 and 7 for a feeding and on the week days if he doesn't wake up on his own I will usually wake him up so I can go back to sleep for an hour or so. 
• I usually have to wake him to take Lynlie to school or dance. 
• He takes 2 or so naps a day,
• his morning nap is usually shorter than his afternoon nap
• He is in size 6-9 month clothes
• He is in size 3 diapers
• He is trying more and more table foods 
• our favorites are sweet potatoes and veggie straws
• I really need to do better about giving him good foods and not processed crap
• He really only has solids once a day or so. Nothing super regular or anything but he's also not super excited about them or interested. He is getting there but he is still very content just breastfeeding
  
• He still breastfeeds 5-6 times a day
• He still loves to smile. It's probably one of my most favorite things about him, Every time you say his name he smiles. 
• He love to giggle
• he has a few super ticklish spots, his inner thighs and his neck. 
• He loves to be loved and adored
• and he also adores his siblings, but he just lights up when they are around. He's a pretty happy baby but he just loves to watch them and be in the thick of whatever it is they are doing. 
• He does not enjoy the jumperoo, I'm about to give up on it. Sorta makes me sad bc all the other kids just loved it but he just was not a fan. And I wish I could just put him in it and he could be safe for a little bit but oh well
• He still loves the sit me up chair, which is what I put him in a lot still for when I'm trying to cook dinner or help with homework
• We are definitely at the point where EVERYTHING goes into his mouth and I really have to watch what the bigs have gotten out for fear that he may put something in his mouth that he shouldn't. 
• I would say this is the hardest part of having a big gap in your kids. The bigs toys are just not compatible with babies a lot of time. 
• He is pretty good with being in the water. 
• we don't do a lot of baths because its just easier to bring him into the shower with us but he does really good with it. Which is like the 3 oldest were. Lynlie has always hated water on her head...whether that be in the bath, shower or pool. So I'm hopeful he will like the pool when we go this month to FL. 
• He is still a great little babbler. Nothing distinctive yet. But he has said mama and dada. 
• The kids like to say that he said dada first but I'm not sure I want to count it. but I guess I did for the others...so looks like Adam got 2 and I got 3 as their first words

Levi is truly just a dream come true. He is such a good baby and we are so very lucky to have him. He completes our family and is just the perfect end piece to our puzzle. 

Levi is EIGHT months old

 I am so far behind. Per my norm but I feel so bad that my sweet Levi doesn't have updated monthly posts. He is turning one in just under a week and I am determined to finish these posts by then so here we go!!!

Our sweet Levi is EIGHT months old. HOLY MOLY I can't believe it!!! He is just a freaking dream baby. As usual he continues to be the best natured little man. He is calm, quiet and just a dream baby. I think every day how lucky we are to have him. He just brings me such a joy every single day. 

Here are our milestones for this month.

• He is my champ sleeper still sleeping roughly 12 hours at night
• he still takes 2ish naps a day
• one in the morning for about an hour
• one in the afternoon for 2-3 hours
• I'm still able to get some good snuggles in with him which I just enjoy so very much. I know the snuggles will stop eventually so I will take them where I can!
• We officially have a sitter!!! He will sit when we put him into the position, he doesn't quite do it on his own just yet but I'm sure that will be just around the corner
• He loves to play with his toys, and pretty much anything you put in front of him he will play with and really seems to love it. 
• Everything does go to his mouth though!!! UGHH
• we try to keep the floor clean and at least for now since he isn't mobile its not a huge deal bc we can give him a few toys and he will play with those but we need to make sure we can keep his area clean when he does get mobile
• He still loves our little sitting device thing and will sit in it for a long time which is really nice so that I can make dinner or help the kids with homework. 
• can you say dream baby? I mean seriously he's so good!!
• He is a talker!! just loves to sing, and babble and I love his sweet little voice. No real "words" just yet but I'm sure he will start to put those consonants together soon. 
• He is still my little pip squeak and is still in 6 month clothing
• He is still in size 3 diapers
• He is still exclusively BF for the most part. 
• We tried our first food of avocado! 
• he loved it and played with it for quite awhile, I think some made it to his mouth
• we have tried a few other things but avocado and sweet potatoes seems to be his favorite.
• He is such happy kid. Always smiling and always just seems to love life
• He loves his siblings and the looks he gives them just melts me. He could stare at them all day. I do have to say that although I am in no hurry I do look forward to watching their relationship grow. 

Levi is just a dream come true in every possible way. I love watching him grow but man I don't want him to grow too fast!!! But man do I love him!!!!
