28 weeks with #6

 Week of March 27, 2021

How Far Along? 28 weeks, YAY 3rd Trimester!!!!

Due Date:  June 19, 2021

Total weight gain/loss: I haven't stepped on the scale.

Maternity Clothes? nah

Stretch Marks? no new ones.

Sleep?  Still about the same. But I had a few good days of sleep

Best Moment of this Week? Stace started her new job so I am watching Cal once a week and I FREAKING LOVE IT!!! getting to know him and having him get to know me, is THE BEST!!! I mean we saw him pretty regularly pre-Covid but then with Covid last year we probably only saw him 3 times which SUCKED!!! getting to see him whenever I want and getting to have him for a whole day once a week is freaking dream!!! He is rotten, spunky and so so sweet!!

Also once again just getting to 28 weeks, although I must say my anxiety is much better this pregnancy it's still tough, I just want a healthy baby!!!

Movement? still movement! I'm starting to feel movement when I'm up standing and walking around now too which is sometimes fun. Othertimes its kinda painful!! LOL

Food cravings? Nope...but I have started taking my blood sugars....so we shall see!!!

Food aversions? nope

Gender? I'm still thinking boy

Labor Signs?  Contractions still happening daily, but nothing regular or painful, just an annoyance

Belly Button In or Out? Still in and is always in.

What I miss? nothing other than just being tired all the time. I don't know if its my age (geriatric pregnancy here) or the fact that I work nights, or the fact that I already have kids who hate to sleep at night, but I'M SO TIRED!!!! I just want to sleep, sleep and sleep some more!!!

What I am looking forward to: Easter is coming up so the kids have off a few days from school and I'm exctied. As much as it is a bit of a break having them in school it's nice having them home, with no agenda and no plans! (Other than seeing the Easter Bunny. )

Size of the Baby:

Baby's now the size of an eggplant!
Baby's lungs are mature enough that, if born right now, she has a pretty good chance of surviving (with help from medical technology). Her skin is still pretty wrinkly (one byproduct of living in amniotic fluid) but will smoothen as fat continues to deposit.

27 weeks with #6

 Week of March 20

How Far Along? 27 weeks!!!! stay in little one!! NO MORE PREEMIES FOR THIS FAMILY PLEASE!!!

Due Date:  June 19

Total weight gain/loss: I Haven't weighed myself in a while.
Maternity Clothes? nah, just same old oversized stuff.

Stretch Marks? Ehhh I don't even notice my old ones...no new ones to note...

Sleep?  Still pretty much the same...Lynlie has taken to sleeping in bed with me which I actually like bc she so dang cute but I definitely sleep better alone.

Best Moment of this Week?  Celebrating Adam. He and I actually got a date night for the first time in I can't even remember, maybe our anniversary last year which was awkward just because of Covid. But I for one had a really good time with him. Having uninterrupted conversations, enjoying each other's company (I shamefully admit that I sat across from him at dinner and thought to myself, Man I still like him. He's so fun, and funny and I enjoy his company!) Then I had our good friends come over to surprise him and I think he really loved getting to see them!

Movement? Oh yes. And it’s the most reassuring thing ever.

Food cravings? nope...but just starting to get my appetite back

Food aversions? nope

Gender? I'm still thinking boy

Labor Signs?  nothing new

Belly Button In or Out? Still in and always in

What I miss? Not a whole lot other than just feeling rested. but thats still possible with 6 kids right?

What I am looking forward to: Can't really say there is much specific I'm looking forward to, just getting further! So I guess I'll say getting to 28 weeks and hitting my 3rd trimester!!

Size of the Baby:

Baby's now the size of an eggplant!
Baby's lungs are going through some major developments these days, which (combined with the opening of previously plugged nostrils) means he's now able to practice inhaling and exhaling. The lack of air in your womb means every "breath" is filled with amniotic fluid, but hey -- it's progress.

26 weeks with #6

 Week of March 13, 2021

How Far Along? 26 weeks!!!!

Due Date:  June 19

Total weight gain/loss: still down 1-2
Maternity Clothes? nope, just yoga and sweatshirts, though it will start warming up soon. I did order a new pair of shorts and a few actual pregnancy leggings instead of yoga pants.

Stretch Marks? No new ones, and they don't seem too prominent yet.

Sleep?  I mean its just the same. It sucks

Best Moment of this Week? I had a repeat ultrasound! I love getting to see baby, even if it refused to show us it's face!! One of the things they couldn't see at the 20 week ultrasound was profile and we still couldn't see it but oh well!! We did see all 4 chambers of the heart and spine came to a close so PHEW!

We also celebrated a very special little boy!! Can't believe CalCal is 2!!

Movement? Yes, and I really do enjoy it. It's the one thing I enjoy about pregnancy.

Food cravings? nope...not really

Food aversions? nope

Gender? I'm still still thinking boy

Labor Signs?  Contractions still happening daily but nothing super uncomfortable.

Belly Button In or Out? Still in. I think I have the deepest belly button ever.

What I miss? Nothing really. I did talk to one of the OBs at work and asked her to put in a script for a new antidepressant. I just felt like I was being extra bitchy. I mean I know I'm bitchy baseline which I really do try and control but I don't like being that way with the kids, so she put me on a very low dose of lexapro. I'm just hoping that it doesn't cause my RLS to act up again!

What I am looking forward to: Adams birthday this week!!! HES GOING TO BE 40!!! I have a big surprise for him too!!!

Size of the Baby:

Baby's now the size of an eggplant!
Baby's soaking up your antibodies, getting her immune system ready for life outside the womb. Eyes are forming, and she'll soon be practicing the blink...perfect for batting those freshly grown lashes

25 Weeks with #6

 Week of March 6th 2021

How Far Along? 25 weeks!!!!

Due Date:  June 19

Total weight gain/loss: still the same down 1-2

Maternity Clothes? nope, still yoga pants and sweatshirts. Guess that's one plus to winter.

Stretch Marks? no new ones.

Sleep? I mean am I supposed to sleep when I am pregnant with my 6th child?

Best Moment of this Week?  So as always this was a rough week. I swear if I could skip it all together I would, but this was the first year we didn't go out of town for the twins birthday. I thought we were doing the right thing considering Covid is still very real, even though people are getting vaccinated and cases are going down. But I think I should have at the very least taken time off work. It was hard being at work, work has been hard all together just being work, but then add my emotions into it and it was a bad combo, but I did get to go home early which was really nice. But we decided to let the boys go to school on the twins birthday and Adam took the 3rd and 4th off and we took the girls to the park bc surprise surprise nothing was open. Then we celebrated her at home with cake and shrimp....her favorites. Then on Laynie's day we took the kids out of school, took them to pinheads and had a really really nice time together as a family. Overall it really was a nice few days together but I just wish we could have gone somewhere else, been alone together more but hopefully by next year Covid won't be an issue.

But we also ate so much cake! Gotta love the birthday trifecta! Happy birthday Mom and Stacie and of course our beautiful twin girls!!

Movement? Oh yes, moving and grooving
Food cravings? nope...but we have eaten a lot of cake!! LOL

Food aversions? nope, food is starting to sound more appealing again

Gender? I'm still thinking boy

Labor Signs?  nothing abnormal for me

Belly Button In or Out? Always in.

What I miss? not a whole lot personally. but sunshine and warm weather.

What I am looking forward to: Calvin's birthday this week!!!

Size of the Baby:

Baby's now the size of an eggplant!
That oh-so-handy sense of equilibrium is kicking in, and baby's learning to distinguish right side up from upside down.

24 weeks with #6

 Week of February 27, 2021

How Far Along? 24 weeks

Due Date:  June 19

Total weight gain/loss: Still the same

Maternity Clothes?
 nope

Stretch Marks? No new ones yet...

Sleep?  It's been a little better this week. Now that I'm off the Zoloft, but those early mornings still kill me.

Best Moment of this Week?  We celebrated Kim's birthday with the kids. She now works on LD with me as a unit rep and our work schedules can a lot of times coordinate but this week they didn't because I tried not to work on her birthday but since she's new to the unit she didn't ask for it off, so we ended up working different days which made it hard to get together. But we got together and celebrated her which I just think is so important. She's such a wonderful Grandma to my kids and I love showing my kids how important birthdays are and how much fun it can be to celebrate people instead of always being the ones who get things.

Movement? YES!!!! All the time!

Food cravings?
 nope

Food aversions? no but the nausea is definitely less and less but I still have it occasionally. I did throw up recently at work because of the N95 mask we have to wear during deliveries. TOO MUCH CO2!!

Gender? I'm still thinking a boy

Labor Signs?  nope, just the rare contraction

Belly Button In or Out? always in

What I miss? not a whole lot, just super tired all the time!!

What I am looking forward to: The Schaller family becoming HOOSIER residents finally!!! Ian and Calvin are moving down tomorrow and Stace will follow the next day on March 1st once the movers leave! To say I'm excited to have my sister around is an understatement. I'm looking forward to getting to know her more as an adult and her husband, as well as getting to know and see Calvin so often and having a nephew and future kids whose life I'm actually a part of.

beautiful 4 chamber heart

Size of the Baby:

Baby's now the size of a papaya!

Baby's skin is becoming more opaque as the fat starts to pack on. And, thanks to the formation of small capillaries, her newly thick skin is taking on a fresh pink glow.

 Week of February 21, 2021

How Far Along? 23 weeks!!!

Due Date: June 19, 2021

Total weight gain/loss: still about the same down 1-3

Maternity clothes? nope...gotta love winter and yoga pants and sweatshirts...its been SO COLD here...i'm ready for spring!!!

Stretch Marks? no new ones.

Sleep: still the same. it's hard for me to fall asleep I make multiple trips to the bathroom bc my mind thinks I have to pee even the smallest bit out...so annoying!!!

Best moment this week: The kids played in the snow we got last week and it was fun to see them enjoy the weather bc Lord knows how much I hate it...I think snow is pretty when its coming down but after that I'm ready for it to be done. But I am grateful my car fits in the garage because I would not enjoy walking in this to get kids in and out of the van.

Movement: yes, and it's delightful even when it makes me nauseated and hurts!--I wrote this for my pregnancy for Lynlie and it is still very true with this baby.

Food cravings: None really, I don't have a huge appetite like I have had with past pregnancies which could attribute to my lack of weight gain so I honestly hope it keeps up!!

Food aversions: none

Gender: I'm still thinking boy

Labor Signs: still same old same old

Belly Button in or out? always in

What I miss: sunshine! February is so dull and boring and cold. Luckily a few times it has been nice out with sun so that makes it more bearable. I swear winter just makes me depressed!

What I am looking forward to: We are celebrating Kim's 65th birthday tomorrow so that will be nice! and Isla turns a year old next week so that will be fun too!!!

Size of the Baby:

Baby's now the size of a papaya!

Baby's little face is fully formed...minus the baby fat, of course. The next task at hand for baby: sprouting two teeny-tiny nipples!

22 weeks with #6

 Week of February 13, 2021

How Far Along? 22 weeks

Due Date: June 19

Total weight gain/loss: still fluctuate to 0 and down 1-3

Maternity clothes? no, I honestly thought I was done having babies and so I don't have a whole lot anymore, I kept some of the more sentimental ones but Still living my best life in my yoga pants and sweatshirts and oversized ts

Stretch Marks? no new ones

Sleep: Same old same old!!

Best moment this week: this is non baby related but last week I took the girls to a "sparkle" photoshoot. it was super cute. the lady was so nice!! I've never really had pictures taken of the kids besides Alicia but I saw it on a facebook page and thought it sounded cute! So i got the girls these cute dresses and this lady had this super cute set up at her house! I will say it wasn't as glamorous as I had anticipated, glitter got in their eyes, they didn't like the glitter all over their hands, but the pictures turned out super cute!! I'm really glad I did it.

Movement: yes, and I love it, by far, hands down my absolute favorite thing in the world, (minus the 2 am waking me up) but I'll take it!

Food cravings: Nothing really this week

Food aversions: none

Gender: I'm still thinking boy

Labor Signs: nope, nothing outside of my normal braxton hicks

Belly Button in or out? always in

What I miss: Just feeling rested.  I really wish I could go to sleep more easily. Though I will say that since weaning  myself off my zoloft my RLS is quite a bit better.

What I am looking forward to: So we got a pretty big snow storm this week, which was fun, but the kids were home a few days and I was having flash backs to last year with all the elearning. So I'm ready for them to go back to school or to just have a snow day so that I can enjoy them!!!

Size of the Baby:

Baby's now the size of a papaya!

Baby's settling into sleep cycles, snoozing about 12 to 14 hours a day. It shouldn't be hard to figure out when -- just pay attention to those kicks as they start and stop.
